Archeological museum in Vis, or the fishermen past in the Fishing museum or the fish industry in Komiza.
KOMIZA:
Komiza is the second largest place on the island with approx 1500 inhabitants. It is situated on the southwest of the island, and has an unspoiled ambience of an anchient
fishing place. The Komiza people used to live from fishing and agriculture in the past, but today they deal mostly with tourism. With the history of a small fishing place,
Komiza became an exclusive tourist destination, that with its ambience and a rich ganstronomic offer attracts many tourists.

VIS:
The Anchient Issa is the oldest urban place on the Adriatic. Even the old Greeks used this naturally protected port, which today also attracts many nauticians.
For culture fans there are traditional concerts of the "Vis music evenings" and the Archeological museum situated in a castle dating from 19th century, with the anchient
Issa treasury. During the walk through rocky streets, you will be attracted by pleasent scents from nomerous fish restaurants and taverns, but one can also find some fun in
bars, clubs, tennis volleyball and watersport playgrounds.

THE BISEVO ISLAND:
The island of Bisevo is a favourite trip destination for tourists in Vis, but also for tourists from other more distatnt islands. Bisevo can easily be reached by fastboats even from
distant towns, and a half day or all day trip will please everybody. On the island there are several caves but the most famous one is the Blue cave in the Balun bay. It is very
similar as the italian cave on the Capri island, but much more fascinating. It is open for public visits since 1884, and can be accessed using a boat. On a sunny day and calm
sea, especially around noon, sun rays penetrate through an underwater canal, reflect from the bottom and illuminate the cave with a blue light and items in the water with silver.

DISTANT ISLES:
Brusnik, Svetac, Jabuka i Palagruza. Brusnik is an uninhabitet volcanic isle with a size about 200 meters. Some endemic species live on the isle. It is a protected area by the
law to preserve its flora and fauna. Brusnik is 12 miles away from Komiza. Jabuka is a volcanic rock 97 meters high, uninhabitet and difficult to access. It is also home of
some enedemic species and rich with fish. It is 36nm away from Komiza. Svetac is an island 15 miles away from Komiza, size about 4 square km, with a village Sv. Andrija
and an iliric fortress. Palagruza is a most distant group of 4 isles, 43 miles away from Komiza. There is a lighthouse built 1875 and an archeologic site from old greece. The
sea area around Palagruza is very rich with fish.

VIS INLAND:
If you decide to leave the coast, about ten kilometers into the inlands you can find
several country houses where you can enjoy a rich and quality offer of original meals and a great hospitality

BAYS:
Bays of Milna, Zenka, Zaglav, Bargujac, Stoncica, Rukavac, Parja, Rogacic, Svitnja, Podstrazje, Stiniva provide each one in its own way the experience of the paradise
island and attract many visitors and nauticians.

GREEN CAVE:
Another attractive cave on the little island of Ravnik, only 15 minutes away from Komiza
by a boat. Definitely another place a guest should visit.
